Michael Wayne Davis of Lynchburg, VA passed away peacefully at Lynchburg General Hospital on December 28, 2023. He was born on August 24, 1948, in Lynchburg, VA. He was predeceased by his loving parents, Mr. and Mrs. A.C. Davis, Jr., a brother, A.C. Davis, III, and a sister, Catherine Ann Davis. He is survived by a sister, Norma Jean Davis of Tucson, Arizona; a daughter, Christie Davis Torrence of Concord, VA; and two grandchildren, Nevaeh and River; and a niece, Jodi Jeffries and her two children, Alyssa and Jon, Atascadero, CA.

Michael was educated in Lynchburg Public Schools and later joined the U.S. Air Force where he was a member of the U.S. Air Force Bowling Team. After serving in the Air Force, Michael returned to Lynchburg, married, and continued to follow his passion, bowling. He also was a big fan of baseball and collected hundreds of baseball cards. Michael could often be seen cruising around town driving Norma Jean's Camaro. Michael had a charming personality and a quick wit and will be sorely missed by all his friends and relatives. Heaven will be fortunate to have another member of their bowling league, rolling lots of strikes. RIP Mike.
