On April 27, 2023, God in His infinite wisdom called our precious Me'Sharra home.

Me'Sharra (Trell) Latrell Patterson was born in Roanoke, Virginia on May 2, 1982, to former Angela (Wade) Patterson and the late Melvin Patterson. She was the second child born to this union. She was educated in Franklin County Schools.

In addition to Administration Education Me'Sharra was a Dallas Cowboys fan. She enjoyed going to sports events that her nieces and nephews participated in. Also, she loved watching her brother coach games. She was instrumental in helping establish the Kenny Wade Foundation, where she served in various positions in the organization. Me'Sharra lived life to the fullest and had an impact in her church, community, and on her students and colleagues. She accepted Christ into her life at an early age and became a member of Holy Trinity Missionary Baptist Church, Rocky Mount, Virginia. Although she didn't have any children of her own, she had a special relationship with each of her nieces and nephews that will forever be etched in their lives.

Preceding Me'Sharra in death were her infant son, Maddox, and her father, Melvin Patterson. Maternal grandparents, Vernelle (Mack) and Curtis Wade. Paternal grandparents, James W. and Lizzie (Gilbert) Patterson. Maternal uncle, Kenny Wade. Paternal aunts and uncles, Patricia, Nancy, Angela, Martha, Mae, James, Jr. John William, and Curtis Patterson. Maternal uncle-in-law, Terry Preston, Sr.

Me'Sharra leaves to cherish her precious memories her mother, Angela; one sister, Makisha; and one brother, Melvin (Le'Bryan) all of Rocky Mount, VA. Special nieces, Jaedyn and Janaya Jamison; and nephews, Jalen Jamison and Joshua Patterson all of Rocky Mount, VA. One Godson, Kamerson Kyles of Woodbridge, VA. Aunts, Carolyn Preston, Linda, and Glory Wade, Ethelene (John) Stanley of Rocky Mount, VA, Wanda (Jesse) Cook of Ferrum, VA, Pamela (James) Palmer of Glade Hill, VA. Uncles, Ronnie and Curtis (Leo) Wade, James Mack, Lawrence Patterson all of Rocky Mount, VA. Walter Harper Wirtz, VA, Michael Patterson of Roanoke, VA. A host of cousins, family, and friends. A German Shepard 'Max' and a pit named 'Henney'.

A homegoing celebration will be held at 12:00 PM Friday, May 05, 2023, at First Baptist Church, 45 Patterson Avenue, Rocky Mount, VA 24151. There will be a viewing from 6-8 PM Thursday, May 04, 2023, at First Baptist Church. Ms. Patterson will lie in state one hour prior to the services. Interment will be in the Holy Trinity Memorial Garden. Please send all floral tributes to First Baptist Church, 45 Patterson Avenue, Rocky Mount, VA 24151 after 3:00 PM on Thursday, May 04, 2023.
