Mary Jones of Lynchburg passed on Saturday February 4, 2017 at Lynchburg General Hospital. Our sweet mother and grandmother went to her heavenly home to rest. Mary Laverne Jones was born April 27, 1958 to the late Mary Trent Cardwell and the late John H. Cardwell. She was also preceded in death by a daughter Tamera Jones.
She leaves to mourn one daughter, Tanya Laverne Jones; one son Kevin Thomas Jones; one granddaughter, Mya De'Shay Jones, of Lynchburg; a devoted friend of 17 years, Steve Goode and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Davis-Turner Funeral Service with Rev. William Goode, officiating. The interment will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery.
