Mary Irene Davis of 10250 Stonewall Rd, Appomattox, passed away on December 3, 2013 at Halifax Memorial Hospital. At the time of her death, she was residing in South Boston. She was born October 16, 1925 to the late Samuel and Alice Turner.
She is survived by her children, Virginia (John) of South Boston, Fred Lamberth, Jr. (Joan), of Madison Heights, Ruby Trent (David), of Appomattox, Linda Scruggs (Ernest) of Appomattox, Robert Lamberth, Mary Smith (Michael) of Madison Heights, Melvin Lamberth, of Appomattox, Milton Lamberth (Annette), of Lynchburg and Warren Lamberth (Roberta), of Amherst; two sisters, Virginia Clemm, of Pittsburgh, PA and Carrie Turner, of Concord; 26 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A home going service will be 1:00 PM Saturday, December 7, 2013 at Jordan Baptist Church with Rev. Jones, officiating. The interment will be in the church cemetery.
