Martha Ann Hamlett Berkley of 1721 Monsview Place, Lynchburg, VA, departed this life on Thursday, April 17, 2025. She was the wife of the late Lenwood Berkley.

She was born in Gladys, VA, on February 4, 1934, the daughter of the late Theodore and Lorena Hamlett.

She was a member of Pilot Mountain Baptist Church. She retired from Liberty Service as a foodservice worker/book binder. She also took care of kids all her life.

She is survived by two devoted daughters, Abbitteen Fore (Kenneth) and Peggy Berkley; and a devoted grandson, Bernard Berkley, whom she raised.

She leaves a host of nieces and nephews. (With special thanks to Lorena, Charlene, Madaline-sister, Lewis, and Richard).

She also leaves a host of grandkids, great-grands, and a host of other relatives and friends.

A special thank you to all of her caregivers and neighbors who helped during her illness.

A homegoing celebration will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at Davis-Turner Funeral Service. Interment will be in Forest Hill Burial Park. Service of comfort rendered by Davis-Turner Funeral Service.
