Marion "Helen" Campbell, 83, of Madison Heights, departed this life on Friday, September 27, 2013. Born in Nelson County on December 15, 1929 and she was the daughter of the late Harrison and Mary Campbell. She was a retired employee of the District of Columbia Public School System; a lifetime member of Peace Baptist Church in Washington, DC and St. Mary's Baptist Church in Amherst, VA.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Macon, William, Harrison, Jr. and Elmore Campbell; five sisters, Hattie Smith, Signora Smith, Maggie Anderson, Corrine Jones and Eleanor Campbell.

She is survived by one son, Larry M. Campbell and his wife, Crystal, of Madison Heights; one goddaughter, Mary "Sue" Johnson, of Washington, DC; one brother, James Campbell and his wife, Shirley, of Clinton, Maryland; a devoted brother-in-law, Bobby Campbell, of Amherst; two sisters-in-law, Eleanor Campbell and Bessie Campbell, both of Amherst; six grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
