Mabel Margaret Hill entered into eternal rest on Saturday, December 31, 2016 at Lynchburg General Hospital. She was born August 9, 1932 in Campbell County, to the late Deacon Clarence and Olivia Dillard Hill. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two sisters, Rosalind P. Hill and Mary R. Hill, and one brother, James Linwood Hill.

She is survived by two sisters, Clara McDaniel, and Virginia Doris Hill; a devoted nephew, Tyree Davis Jr.; and one sister in law, Ethel Watkins Hill, one niece, Veronica Hill; one great niece, Tanya Hill; all of Lynchburg, Virginia. Mabel had a special love for children and she had numerous god children that loved her and will miss her immensely.

Mabel was a dedicated member of the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church and continued to faithfully attend until her death.

She was a loyal employee of GE and Ericsson and worked there for twenty four years until her retirement.

A celebration of Mabel's life will be held Thursday, January 5, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. Reverend Alvin Scott will officiate and the pastor, Rev. Dr. Carlton Jackson, Jr. will deliver the Eulogy. The family will be receiving friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
