Lucinda Gail Taylor, 44, of 275 Greenwood Dr., Madison Heights passed away Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2007 at UVA Medical Center after a long illness. She was born December 9, 1962, to the Rev. J.L. and Mary Sandidge.
She was preceded in death by grandfathers, Wiley Taylor and Oscar Sandidge; grandmother, Martha Sandidge. She was a member of the St. Mary Baptist Church where she served as president of Pastor's Aid Ministry and served as Youth Director for many years.
She was educated in Amherst County School System and worked at CVTC for a number of years and The Aging Agency and a Princess House Consultant. In addition to her parents she leaves to cherish her memory two brothers, Edward (Louise) Sandidge of Amherst and Calvin (Cynthia) Sandidge of Madison Heights; two sisters Mona Sandidge of Amherst and Brenda Sandidge of Lynchburg; grandmother, Alice Taylor Lowesville, VA; four nieces; five nephews and one great nephews; god daughter, Chanda Jones; devoted friends, Marvin Cabler, Brian Turner, Robin Jones, Cil Robertson and Lisa Banton and a host of aunts, uncles and other relatives and friends. A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, December 2, 2007 at St. Mary Baptist Church, Lowesville with Rev. R. A. Cabell, Jr. officiating and Rev. J. L. Sandidge as eulogist. Interment will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 7-8 PM at Davis-Turner Funeral Service and other times at 139 Cabel Lane, Amherst.
