Mrs. Louise E. Franklin, 87, of Izaak Walton Road, Madison Heights, VA departed this life Wednesday, December 4, 2013. She was born April 2, 1926 to the late Bernard and Louise Jackson.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband,
Thomas Franklin; daughter Velma Taliaferro; grandchildren; Angela Haynes and Korey Franklin; three brothers; Edward, Moses and Leroy Jackson; six sisters; Sallie Reid, Lottie Vaughter, Mary Reid, Retha Franklin, Bertha Cox and Alice Thomas.
She was a member of Scottzion Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She leaves to cherish her memory, four sons; Thomas Franklin of Lynchburg, Bernard Franklin (Shelia) of Hampton, Bruce Franklin (Anna) of Madison Heights and Rodney Franklin (Rhonda) also of Madison Heights; six daughters; Lottie Cabell (Allen), Diane Franklin and Maryland Robinson all of Madison Heights, Gloria Burford (Roy) of Monroe, Priscilla Hemmings (Stanley) and Sharon Haley (Steven) both of Lynchburg; 22 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; 5 great –great grandchildren; two brothers; Woodrow Jackson of Lynchburg and James Jackson (Lillian) of Madison Heights, one sister Anne Christian of Madison Heights and a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws and other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, December 7, 2013 at Scott Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Gary Lee, officiating. The interment will be in the church cemetery.
