Louise "Ann" Carter quietly departed this life on Tuesday, June 24, 2025. She was born on September 14, 1941, to the late Eugene Lee and Edna Lee. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Pearl Blount, Edna Johnson, and Queen Huryse; and two brothers Willie Lee and Robert Lee.

She was a member of Timothy Baptist Church, where she served as a trustee, a member of the hospitality committee, and was a member of the Timothy Baptist Church Senior Choir. She retired from George Washington University.

She leaves to cherish her memories one brother, Reverend Henry Lee of Wadesboro, N.C.; her devoted husband, Major Carter for over 50 years, goddaughter, Kiion McNeil; devoted nephew, Morris Waddell; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

A homegoing celebration will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Sunday, July 6, 2025, at Timothy Baptist Church. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Service of comfort rendered by Davis-Turner Funeral Service.
