On October 26, 2016 sister Lorraine B. Calloway transitioned into the arms of our heavenly father after a blessed life of 94 years.
She was born on February 26, 1922 to the late Henry and Kitty Booker.
She was preceded in death by her husband Floyd Calloway; four brothers, Elmore, Charles, Chesteen and Warren Booker and one sister Mary Sue Lyles.
Lorraine graduated from Campbell County training School. She retired from General Electric Company after 24 years of service. Lorraine was a member of Mt. Evergreen Baptist Church which she loved dearly. She was the superintendent for the Sunday school for 15 years and played piano for the church for many years. She was a member of the Rising Star Club and The Ladies Aide.
Her favorite saying was "To God Be The Glory".
Those left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Teresa (Macon) Davis and Kitty (Earl) Madison; one son, Floyd (Pamela) Calloway, Sr.; five grandchildren, Sherri Lynn, Dana, Keith, Kisha and Floyd, Jr.; 10 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.
