Obituary

Linda J. Perry departed this life suddenly on Tuesday, July 10, 2018.  She was born on January 9, 1955 to the late Otis T. Brown, Sr. and the late Rosa Lee Brown.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. Perry, brothers; Otis Brown, Jr., Thomas Brown, James Brown, Edward Reeves, Sr.; sisters, Evelyn Scott and Sandra Lamberth.

Linda could brighten anyone's day!  With this gift, she began inspiring youth at a very young age while employed at ODJCC in Monroe.  After many faithful years, God lead Linda to Centra Health where she remained a faithful employee and brought joy through her personality to everyone she encountered.  Through the years she continued to inspire youth while working at Amherst County High School.  Later in life God placed Linda in a position to care for her mother who she loved and cherished and gave unconditional love until her mother's passing.  Linda was a dedicated member of Bolling Hill Baptist Church and loved the Lord.  She enjoyed attending church, Bible Study and giving her testimony.

Those left to cherish her memories, her daughter, the apple of her eye, Vicky Cunningham (Robert); Linda loved, inspired and encouraged Vicky and left her a legacy to continue to carry out the love of God and continue to encourage others along the way; granddaughter, Diamond Jones; sister, Susan B. Eubanks, of Lynchburg who she loved to "shoot the breeze" with, brother, Richard Brown (Mary), of Piney River; two devoted nieces, Sheila Brown, who she inspired, loved and always kept a close eye on and Sabrina Brown, of Lynchburg; nephew, Vinny Brown, who she loved and cared for like her own son; sister-in-law, Eloise Brown whom she enjoyed her daily phone calls with; a devoted best friend, Phyllis Chilton that she was tight as glue with; Lashelle Jones and the rest of the youth at Bolling Hill Baptist Church, and a host of other nieces, nephews, family and friends.
