On Wednesday July 30, 2008 God saw our loved one getting tired so God sent an angel to take her home to be with the Lord. Linda Darnell Booker, daughter of the late Lucille S. Booker and Chestine M. Booker. Linda was born May 17, 1955 in Campbell County. She joined Mt. Evergreen Baptist Church at an early age. Linda graduated in 1974 from Rustburg High School and was employed with GE for 17 years and five years with Delta Starr. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, Chestine M. Booker, Jr. Those left to cherish her memories, two loving daughters, Kimberly and her finance` Shawn Williams and Tiffany Booker both of Lynchburg; four brothers, Carl H. (Marion) Booker, of Madison Heights, Matthew (Caroline) Booker, Alvin (Marsha) Booker, both of Lynchburg and Sherman (Sandra) Booker, of Rustburg; two sisters, Brenda (Bernard) Mitchell and Annette ( Willie) Mitchell, both of Lynchburg and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, August 2, 2008 at Mt. Evergreen Baptist Church with Rev. Bertram L. Davis, officiating and Rev. Coolige Rhodes as eulogist. Interment will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends, Friday from 7-8 PM at Davis-Turner Funeral Service and other times at 943 George St. Lynchburg.
