Lawrence Tweedy, of Lynchburg, Virginia went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 16, 2019.

Lawrence was born July 30, 1947 to the late Dorothy and Warren Tweedy.

Lawrence received his education in the Lynchburg Public School System, and he served in the Army Reserves.  Lawrence was known for his bright smile and warm heart, he had a beautiful voice and loved to sing. Lawrence worked in a variety of fields, but his passion was cooking, Lawrence deeply loved his family and close friends.

Lawrence is survived by one daughter, Pamela Tweedy whom he dearly loved; five sisters, Dorothy

Pannell, Barbara Jefferson (Wilson), Joyce Smith (Ronald), Gracie Smith (Ozell), Patricia Simms (Marvin), and a host of other relatives and friends.  He had a special bond with Jackie Terry, whom he loved as a daughter.
