Obituary

Lawrence "Lil Lawrence" Alfred Mabin, Jr., of Lynchburg passed away Sunday, March 30, 2008 at Salem Veterans Hospital. He was born April 4, 1948 to Dorothy Barksdale Mabin and the late Lawrence Alfred Mabin, Sr. Lawrence served his country in the United States Air Force. Those left to cherish his memories including his mother, are one sister, Rochelle Mabin Dyke, of Madison Heights; one brother, Christopher W. (Christine) Mabin, Sr., of Independence, MO; four aunts, Adlee M. McDaniel, Mary Katherine Scott both of Madison Heights, Catherine M. Douglass and Martha M. Boomer both of Washington, DC;two nieces, Christina L. Murray, Anderson, SC and Tiffany A. Mabin, Independence, MO; two nephews, Christopher W. Mabin, Jr. of Newark, DE and Jonathan L. Dyke, Centerville, VA; a devoted friend and daughter, Patricia and Tyease Terrell both of Lynchburg and host of other relatives and friends. A funeral service will held 1:00 pm Friday, April 4, 2008 at Davis-Turner Funeral Chapel with Dr. Antoine L. Edwards III as Eulogist. Interment will be in the Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 7-8 at Davis-Turner Funeral Service and other times at the residence of Rochelle Mabin 119 Arrow Head Dr., Madison Heights.
