Lawrence E. Johnson, 66, of Suitland MD, formerly of Amherst passed away Sunday, September 20, 2009. He was born in October 31, 1942 in Amherst County to the late Junior and Doretha Johnson. Lawrence was also preceded in by his son, Ronald Johnson.
Those left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife Karine Johnson; one daughter, Sheri Johnson; two step children, Kevin Meadows and Tina Ballard; one sister, Catherine Johnson-Vaughn; one brother, Curtis Johnson; six grandchildren, Cha'mawnn, Alicia, Ronald, Randi, Devin and Constance; mother-in-law, Sarah McCray; daughter-in-law, Sonya Meadows; sister-in-law, Mattilean Johnson and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held 1:00 pm Saturday, September 23, 2009 at Piney Grove Baptist Church, Amherst, VA with Rev. Charles Lewis officiating.
