Laura Dianne Banks, 54, of Forest, Virginia departed this life on Friday, December 09, 2022, at Lynchburg General Hospital. Born June 27, 1968, to the late Claude Banks, Jr. and Judeal Andrews Banks who also precedes her in death.

She was a member of Forest Level Baptist Church located in Forest, Virginia. She was a devoted employee of TPS Imaging Solutions and the Downtown YMCA Childcare, including the before and after school programs.

She is survived by her only son, Craig R. Banks; four grandchildren, Alexis Banks, Christopher Banks, Hannah Banks, and Christian Jones; four siblings, Carl Banks, Sharron Spinner, Jerome Banks, and Mischelle Shaffer (Charles); one God-brother, Raymond Banks, Jr. (Sophia); one God-sister, Stephanie Brown (Dee); a devoted cousin, Linda Watson (Bobby); three aunts and three uncles, Thelma Ellis, Ruth Johnson, Anette Spinner, Jessie Banks (Fairella), Raymond Banks, Sr., and Joseph Banks; eight nephews and two nieces, Jimmy Spinner, Sr., Charles Shaffer, Jr., Brandon Martin (Valerie), Justin Spinner, Michael Martin, Cameron Shaffer (Christina), Carl Banks, Jr., Jerome Banks, Shaniqua Banks (Travis), and Jadyn Banks; 20 great nephews and nieces; and a host of relatives and friends.

Laura leaves behind a legacy that will never be forgotten. Laura was a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan, she loved going camping, going shopping, and our annual family beach trips. She was a peacemaker and the glue that held us together. She had an unconditional love for all of her family and friends. Her son and her grandchildren were the light of her life. Laura had the kindest heart, the brightest smile, and a laugh that could make anyone's day. May her earthly work speak for her in her heavenly home.

A homegoing celebration will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, December 17, 2022, at St. Paul Baptist Church, Forest, VA 24551. Burial will be private. Service of comfort rendered by Davis-Turner Funeral Service.
