IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Langston
Scott
April 27, 1944 – August 7, 2017
Langston, Sr. entered life, April 27, 1944 to the late Margaret Ellen Scott. Langston graduated from Watson High School, 1961 and worked at the Homestead, Hot Springs VA prior to movement to Lynchburg, VA, where he began employment with the Lynchburg Public Schools (LPS), in 1964.
Langston retired in 1999, after 35 consecutive years of service with LPS. After retirement, he volunteered countless hours of service, at the Lynchburg General Hospital Dialysis Center and other serious care clinics sharing the Gospel message of hope through believing in the cleansing "Blood of Jesus" and power in professing the "Name of Jesus." He wanted others to experience joy similar to his own ongoing personal experience with knowing God and desire to achieve personal growth daily. Some well-known sayings he uttered daily are: "I just hope you can see Jesus in my life" and "I am on my way to heaven."
