Joseph Ramey, 76, of 141 Doewood Place, Concord passed away Friday, July 4, 2008 at Virginia Baptist Hospital. Joseph was born March 25, 1932 to the late Samuel David Elijah Ramey, Sr. and Janie Adele Gardner Ramey. He was preceded in death by his sisters and brothers, Eugene Ramey, George W. Ramey, Johnny Lee Ramey, James (Jack) Ramey, Jessy James Ramey, Ardell Ramey, Samuel David Elijah Ramey, Jr., and Mary Alice Ramey. Those left to cherish his memories are one sister, Rossie Virginia Ramey, of Concord and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be held 11:00 am Saturday, July 12, 2008 at Davis-Turner Funeral Service with Bishop Robert Farrell officiating. Interment will be in the Archer Creek Cemetery.
