John Harry Thomas, Jr., 64, of Amherst County went to be with the Lord on January 21, 2025.

He was born on April 11, 1960, to John Thomas, Sr. and the late Ollie Henley Thomas. He is preceded in death by his sister, Sherry Harris.

He leaves to cherish his memories 4 sisters, Joyce Sandidge (James), Victoria Sparrow (Leroy), Cynthia Haynes (Ronnie), and Sandra Jordan (Curtis); 2 brothers, Donald Thomas (Tyses) and Jasper Thomas; a brother in love, Antonio Thomas (Tiana); a very special aunt, Janet Thomas; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends that loved him.

He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and watching sports, especially the Washington Commanders, the Los Angeles Lakers, and the UVA Cavaliers.

The family will be receiving friends at the home of Cynthia and Ronnie Haynes, 148 Fairmont Drive, Madison Heights, VA 24572.

A homegoing celebration will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 26, 2025, at Davis-Turner Funeral Service. Mr. Thomas will be on view one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the Christian Aid Cemetery. Service of comfort rendered by Davis-Turner Funeral Service.
