John Pennix affectionately known a J. P. departed this life Wednesday October 8, 2008. He was born September 20, 1950 in Amherst Virginia the son of Ms.Gracie (Lloyd, Sr.) Evans of Madison Heights, Va. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Lizzie Pennix and paternal grandparents Norvell & Beatrice Evans, also two aunts, two uncles, one step brother, one step sister.
John leaves to cherish his memories, his sisters Willie Woodson of Madison Heights, Va. Frances (Frank) Dawson Jr. of Appomattox, VA. , Marilyn Jackson and Blanch Evans of Petersburg, VA. Sharon Bolling, of Dinwiddie, VA. Emma (Rodney)Townes of Colonia Heights,Va. Wanda Makiou of Mc Kenny. Two brothers Lloyd H.(Cynthia) Evans of Chesterfield VA. Bernard Evans Sr. of Petersburg, Va; one great uncle Roosevelt (Mollie) Pennix of Brookneal, VA; two special friends, Mrs. Eleanora Hunter and Floyd Evans and a host of other aunts, uncles, nieces & nephews and other relatives and friends.
A celebration of life will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, October 12, 2008 at Fairmont Baptist Church with Rev. Leonard Harris, officiating.
