Jessie Andrew Thomas, "Pete", 82, of 1700 Wards Ferry Road in Lynchburg, passed away Sunday, June 12, 2016, at his residence. He was born on April 16, 1934, to the late Oliver Daniel Thomas and Emma White Thomas. Jessie was preceded in death by five brothers, William, James, Terrell, Sr., George, and Charlie Thomas.
Those left to cherish his memories are his wife, Monica Tyler Thomas; two daughters, Carla Daphne Thomas (Michael Ludwig Langenstein, ex-husband), and Adettra Ann Thomas; one son, Jessie Andrew Thomas II; one brother, Alfred Thomas; one sister, Francis (Rev. Edward) Austin; two granddaughters, Courtney Elizabeth Langenstein, and Chrissy Nicole Howell (Timothy Daniel Howell); two great granddaughters, Aubrie Lynn Langenstein, and Cora Rowan Howell, and a host of other relatives and friends.
