Janice Cheryl Oliver Sandidge departed this life on Wednesday morning in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, Virginia. The daughter of the late Joseph C. Oliver and Mabel Gilmore Oliver. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Wiliam (Billy) Oliver of Bronx, New York.

She is survived by her husband, Reverend Dr. Oneal Sandidge; a son, Jermaine Oneal Sandidge; a daughter, Ieke Monique Sandidge, all of Tidewater, Virginia area; three Godsons: Rev. Ronnie Clark, Nashville, Tennessee, Eric M. Maurice, and Elroy C. Jones, of the Tidewater Virginia area; a sister, Reverend Barbara A. Slaughter of Lynchburg, Virginia, a grandson, Mekhi Oneal Sandidge, Longwood College, Farmville, Virginia, Eric Baskerville, Jr. of Richmond, VA; devoted nieces, Talitha Slaughter of Lynchburg, VA and Kim Oliver of Bronx, NY; devoted nephews, William Hunter (Denise) and Larry Hunter (Coral) of Lynchburg, VA; many great nephews and nieces, other relatives, friends, and her home baby, Queen-Oneal's service animal.

A homegoing celebration will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at Davis-Turner Funeral Service with Pastor Joseph Moore of Orange, NJ as Eulogist and Pastor Scotty Craft as Officiant.
