James Wilson Harris, Sr. of Amherst passed away Thursday, March 30, 2017 at his residence. He was born December 4, 1931 to the late Stickley Harris and Marie Cappello Harris.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosetta Jones Harris; son, James Wilson Harris, Jr. and granddaughter, Missiah A. Harris- Dula
Those left to cherish his memories are two daughters, Betty Mays Harris and Trinita Harris-Turner, both of Amherst and a host of other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be held 1:00 PM Monday, April 3, 2017 at Davis-Turner Funeral Service with Rev. Calvin Brown, officiating. The interment will be in the Christian Aid Cemetery, Amherst.
