Jamaal Jody Bleasdell (J Tall) was born on February 15, 1979, and entered eternal rest on Monday, May 29, 2023. He was born in Arlington, VA to Gemma Bleasdell and Joseph Carter, who preceded him in death.

He graduated from Henrico High School and St. Paul's College. Jamaal was a barber who worked at William's Barber Shop. He leaves to cherish his memories his mother, Gemma; a special love, Evette Hurt; 4 sons, Ethan, Emil, Elijah, and Evan; 1 daughter, Emma all of Bedford, VA; a sister, Mya Cooley of Michigan; 3 aunts, Mary, Sheila, and Barbara Carter all of Lynch, VA; 1 uncle, Haleem Shaah of Michigan; special brother friends, Kevin Lambert, Raymond (Sixx) Jenkins, and Jason Hawkins; 4 little brother/cousins, Jeremy Wilson, Darius Dodson, Dystance Williams, and Shandrez Saunders; and a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends.

A memorial celebration will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, June 04, 2023, at Peaceful Baptist Church. Service of comfort rendered by Davis-Turner Funeral Service.
