Irene J. Booker, 70, of Appomattox passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at her residence. She was born on March 2, 1944 to the late Jesse W. Booker and Virginia McCoy Booker.

She was a member of Mt. Airy Baptist Church.

Those left to cherish her memories are one son, Tivey Booker (Connie), of Maryland; five daughters, Tyses Thomas (Donald), of Appomattox, Sylvia Fleshman (Robert), of Lynchburg, Patti Prince, Charlene Dickerson (Terry) and LaToia Booker (Tony), all of Appomattox; two brothers, Jerry Booker, of Lynchburg and Sylvester Booker (Beatrice), of Amherst; one sister, Noel Johnson (David), of Appomattox and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A funeral Service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, April 12, 2014 at Mt. Airy Baptist Church, Appomattox with Rev. Michael Reid, Pastor, officiating and Rev. Troy Anderson, as Eulogist.
