Obituary

Horace Maxwell "Mac" Ferguson, 90, of 1003 Johnson Rd, Lynchburg passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday morning, November 1, 2015
He was born on June 22, 1925 to the late OK and Nannie McCoy Ferguson in Concord, VA. He was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Concord, VA and a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Eppsie F. Woodson, Eunice F. Henderson, Bernice F. Madison and Hazel F. Ferguson; brothers, Warren H. Ferguson and Lester Ferguson; a nephew, James "Hut" Woodson and a niece, Myrtle W. Brown.
He leaves to cherish his memory a brother, Manley Ferguson, Sr., of Concord, VA; two sisters, Eleanor F. Davis, of Lynchburg and Sadie F. Wooding, of Concord, VA; a devoted niece and nephew, Anna W. Fleshman and husband, Arnold Fleshman, Sr. and great nephew, Arnold Fleshman, Jr. of Lynchburg, VA and 16 other nephews, nieces, numerous cousins and other family members and friends.
A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, November 5th, 2015 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Pastor, Rev. Donald Foster, officiating. The interment will be in the Forest Hill Burial Park with military rites given by American Legion Post 16. Condolences may be sent to www.Davis-Turner.com.
