Deacon Herman Hayes McCoy Jr, "Beaver" 68 entered into eternal rest on Monday, December 16, 2013. Born on November 2, 1945 in Lynchburg,VA as the second child of the late Herman and Lottie McCoy Sr. Herman was preceded in death by one brother, Linwood McCoy and one son Ronald Watts.

Beaver was a loving man who was quick to serve people in any capacity he could. He could constantly be found helping wherever there was a need. His caring manner will be carried on through his wife, Maxine. His sons, Troy McCoy of Charlotte, NC, Brian McCoy (Della) of Lynchburg, VA, Milton Watts and Keith Watts (Lori) of Forest, VA. His daughters, Shirl Dawkins of Lynchburg,VA, Debra Harvey (James) of Lynchburg, VA and Revonda Wilson (Jack) of Waldorf, MD. Siblings, Frances Johnson of San Francisco, CA, Evonne Glass of Colorado Springs, CO, Helen Johnson (Jene) of Lynchburg, VA, James McCoy (Audrey) of Lynchburg, VA, JoeAnn Otey (Ronnie) of Virginia Beach, VA, Burnice Fuqua (Thomas) of Lynchburg, VA, Bernice Crews of Madison Heights, VA, and sister InLaw, Terry McCoy of CA. Grandchildren, Keshawna, Bria, Deja, La'Toya (Donniel), Donnell (Le'Quana), Nikki, Anthony, Tiffany, Jamie, Keith and Josh (April). Great grandchildren, Kendall, A'Zaira, Tianna, Kamayla, Amiya, Josh, Georgia,Trinity and Kayden.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 20, 2013, at Tree of Life Ministries in Lynchburg, VA, at 12PM, followed by service at 1PM. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery. Arrangements by Davis and Turner Funeral Home.
