Herbert Harold Housen, 88, of Appomattox, VA gained his heavenly wings on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at his home with his wife Rosa Housen right by his side.  Herbert was born on May 25, 1930 in Montego Bay, Jamaica.  He was preceded in death by his parents Rhonda Crann and Felix Housen; one daughter, Yvonne Housen; his brothers, Johnnie and Austin Housen and his sister, Viola and Dorothy James.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife, Rosa Housen; children, Paulene "Dawn" Housen, Orian Housen (Kandi), Maxine Housen, Herbert Housen, Jr. (Lael), Charles Housen (Holly), Naomi Elcock (Alfred), Carmeta "Sandra" Boyd, Orville Housen, Hupert Housen and Lenard Housen; four stepdaughters, Catherine Marshall (Warren), Mary Lee (Corey), Tandra Harris (Steven) and Verda Alexander; a special niece, Rosa Ratcliff who loved her uncle and was his biggest fan; a special family friend Jennifer Carerra  as well as a host of grandkids, great grandkids, great-great grandkids family and friends.
