Our dear beloved Brother Harry McDaniel, crossed over to be with his savior on Tuesday morning at 3:00 am at Virginia Baptist Hospital, Lynchburg. VA. He was born on November 30, 1929 to the late Robert and Lille Davis McDaniel. He was preceded in death by his brother, Clinton McDaniel and his sister's Annie Bell and Edmonia McDaniel. He is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 60 years, Louise McDaniel, his daughter, Deborah McDaniel Bennett, and his son in law Michael Bennett. He has two devoted granddaughters, Michelle Bennett Mays (Camm) and Marcia Bennett. He is also survived by his sister, Bertha Maul of Philadelphia, PA, his devoted Aunt, Susie Davis, two sisters in law, Mrs. Ann McDaniel and Mrs. Catherine T. Carroll; his devoted nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends and other relatives. Harry served the US army during the Korean Conflict in the 1950's and always shared his experience. Harry was a lifetime devoted member of Altha Grove Baptist Church. The family will receive visitors on Thursday and Friday from 4 pm until 8 pm at the residence. The services will be held at Altha Grove Baptist Church on Saturday at 1:00 pm with viewing one hour prior to the service. Interment will be held at the Altha Grove Baptist Church cemetery with military rites by American Legion Post 16. The Eulgoist is the Rev. Marcus G. Jones.
