Early Friday morning, July 15, 2016, Harold "Lil Boy" Booker, 84, departed his life at his residence. He was born September 8, 1931, to the late Howard and Vera J. Booker.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, James A Booker, Howard Booker, Jr, his Twin and Alphonso S. Booker, Sr.
He was a United States Army Veteran, Staff Sgt. He was employed by Lynchburg Foundry, Lower Basin until retirement and Dinner Bell Corporation in Lynchburg.
He leaves to cherish his memories his devoted wife, Ella D. Booker of 64 years, four sons, Harold Booker, Jr, of Lake Helene, FL, Michael Booker (Joyce), of Madison Heights, Kent A. Booker (Zera), of Margate, FL and Lafayette M. Booker of Lynchburg; one daughter, Rosetta Robinson; seven grandchildren, Sardel, Latonya, Kent, Jr., Raquel, Angela, Jonathan, N`dia, Michael, Wilsea and Seanika; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Delores Booker, of Madison Heights and Elizabeth B. Lewis, of Youngstown, OH; three sisters-in-law, Estella Anderson, Laeinda Booker and Christine Davis; one brother-in-law, Duval Davis and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at Davis-Turner Funeral Service with Rev. Horace Rice officiating. The interment will be in the Forest Hill Burial Park.
