Glen Roger Witcher, of Lynchburg passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at Guggenheimer Nursing Home. He was born on September 20, 1937 to the late Bill Witcher and Elizabeth Stone.
Those left to cherish his memories are his wife, Elsie Mae Witcher; seven children, Mary (Aaron) Hunt, Beatrice (Leon) Payne, all of Lynchburg; Will (Emma) Witcher, of Evington, Debra (Tony) Alexander, of Lynchburg, Glen Witcher, of Greensboro, NC, Jane (Bryan) Turner, of Amherst and Fred (Tonnie) Witcher, of Augusta, GA; three sisters, Willie Mae (Ray) Hurtford, of NC, Janice (Pete) Cubbage, of Madison Heights and Bettie Davis, of Lynchburg; one brother, Ronnie Davis, of Lynchburg; 21 grandchildren and 54 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM, Sunday, January 12, 2014 at Level Run Baptist Church, Hurt, Virginia. The interment will be in church cemetery.
