Gladys Smith Braxton (Sugar Pie) of Forest passed away on Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at Lynchburg General Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Happy Wallace Smith and Radar Smith.
In addition to her mother and father Gladys was preceded in death by her loving husband, Howard Braxton, Sr.; daughter, Denise Smith and her son Harry Clyde Braxton.
Those left to cherish her memories are her loving children, Howard Braxton, Jr. (Mary), of Colorado Springs, CO, Steven Braxton, Beverly Thomas (Lendon), Janet Daniels (Joe) all of Lynchburg, Garey Braxton, of Forest, Vivian Clark (Edward), of Forest, Spencer Braxton, of Colorado Springs, CO, Leroy Bradshaw and Warner Braxton (Tracey), both of Lynchburg and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Friday, June 8, 2012 at Mt. Peeler Baptist Church with Rev. Coles, officiating. The interment will be in Forest Hill Burial Park.
