Gina Novella Stratton Brown, born June 23, 1960, in Philadelphia, PA. Her earthly journey ended on March 11, 2022, suddenly at Inspira Medical Center in Vineland, NJ. Gina was the baby of 9 children. She was preceded in death by her parents, Norvell Lester and Margaret Stratton.

Gina met and married Melvin Brown, who she leaves to cherish her memory. She also leaves one daughter, Mingtoy Shawntae Stratton and one grandson, Denim Cole Stratton.

Gina also leaves to cherish her memory 8 siblings and their spouses. Sharon Boose (Allen-deceased), VA, Lamont Stratton (Enid), VA, Margretta Harris (Rufus), VA, Anthony Stratton (Serena), VA, Timothy Stratton (Rhonda), VA, Catherine Hannah (Osway), VA, Flossie Garrett (Charles), NJ and Kim Jones, VA; sisters-in-law, Angela Brown, Minnesota, Connie Minard (Ken), Virginia, Elivea Hardwick (Gary), Vineland, NJ and Trina Pierce of Vineland, NJ.

In addition to her siblings, she is survived by 21 nieces and nephews; 44 great-nieces and nephews; 14 great-great nieces and nephews; also, a host of friends and acquaintances.

Gina was loved by many, she was everybody's baby, she had a larger than life personality, and a smile that would light up a room. She was always the life of the party. She will be truly missed and forever in our hearts.

Gina worked at Kimble Glass (Gersheimer/ONI) for over 30 years.

A homegoing celebration will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 19, 2022, at Davis-Turner Funeral Service. Interment will be in the Archer Creek Cemetery. A repast will be held at 136 Spinoza Circle, Lynchburg, VA. Service of comfort rendered by Davis-Turner Funeral Service.
