George Melvin Horsley, 62, of Lynchburg passed away Thursday, January 18, 2018 at Avante' Nursing Home.  He was born on June 13, 1955 to Betty Waugh Horsley and the late Clayton Horsley.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Jessie Horsley.

Those left to cherish his memories in addition to his mother are his loving and devoted wife, Margaret Horsley, of Lynchburg; one son, George Melvin Rucker, of Newport News; two daughters, Michelle Wright and Lama Wright, both of Lynchburg; four brothers, Eddie Waugh, Lewis Waugh, Paul Horsley and Wayne Horsley, all of Lynchburg; three sisters, Phyllis Wright, Betty Horsley and JoAnne Horsley, all of Lynchburg and a host of other relatives and friends.
