GEORGE M. GOODE, age 70, departed this life on November 26, 2009. He was the third of fifteen children, born to the late Dan and Latreatha Goode. He was educated in the Appomattox County Public Schools.

George accepted Christ early in life, was baptized and became a member of Morning Star Baptist Church, where he remained a faithful member until his death. He was preceded in death by his youngest son Jeffrey Goode; two brothers, James and Kenneth Goode and one sister Rachel Goode.

George is survived by three sons, Gregory Goode, Jonald Wilson and Steven Spinner; one daughter, DeResse Wilson; four devoted brothers, Gene, Stephen, Henry (Willa) and Jerry Goode; six devoted sisters, Mary Mickle (James W.), Wanda Robinson, Virginia Hunter (Robert), Patricia Kelso (Louis), Carolyn Johns (Melvin) and Sheila Goode; a special friend, Clara Harris; ten grandchildren, eighteen nephews, eight nieces, one uncle Jack Forbes; three devoted friends, Rev. Timotheous Lawing, Johnny Ferguson and Ada Petty; and a host of cousins, relatives and friends.

George love the Lord and he loved reading his Bible and listening to his Gospel music. He loved traveling and fellowshipping with family and friends. He was a friend to every one he met.
