IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Fred Lamberth,
Jr.
August 23, 1943 – August 28, 2022
Fred" June" Lamberth, Jr. was born in Appomattox, VA on August 23, 1943. He was the second child from the union of Fred Nathaniel Lamberth, Sr. "Freddy Frog" and Mary Turner Davis. He was preceded in death by his eldest sister, Virginia Torian. Fred entered into his eternal rest on Sunday, August 28, 2022, at the age of 79.
He attended Carver Price High School. He moved to the Washington DC area in 1969. In 1971, Fred met Joan Carter, they later married in 1979. Fred was a man of many talents. There wasn't anything he couldn't do, he worked as a carpenter, painter, resident manager, and mail handler for the USPS. After 16 years of service, he retired from the USPS in 2016.
He leaves to cherish his memories a loving and devoted wife of 43 years (together for 51 years), Joan Carter-Lamberth, and their four children together, Jacinta (Joe), Christina (Werner), Felicia, and Fred, III (Kyara); his son, Mike Trent (Angela); and three children from a previous marriage, Wendell, Patricia, and Sheila.
He is remembered by his aunt, Carrie Turner; sisters, Ruby, Linda (Gene), and Mary (Mike); brothers, Robert, Melvin, Milton, and Warren. He was also loved by his in-laws, Zandra, Alivin (Lillian), Tonette, Ella, Linda, and John. He leaves many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and a host of loved family and friends.
Fred is a loving and caring person who always wanted to make sure everyone was alright. He never hesitated to pick up the phone if you were on his mind. One of the last things he said to his wife was, "are you happy?"
