Obituary

Franklin Roosevelt Jones, 59, of 162 Crabapple Lane, Amherst departed this life on February 17, 2013 at his residence. He was born July 16, 1953 the son of Edith Page Jones and the late Colonel William Jones. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Billy Jones and Norman W. Jones.
In addition to his mother he is survived by six brothers, Robert (Bunny), of NJ, James "Wammie" (Phyllis), Samuel Jones, Larry "Nick" Jones, all of Amherst, Earl (Lisa) and C. William "June" (Rejeana) of Maryland; seven sisters, Betty Blair (Paul), of Washington, DC, Annie Moss of Madison Heights, Mary Rucker (Aaron) of Evington, Pauline (Dennis), Grenda Wilkes (John) both of Lynchburg, Alberta Sandidge (Mike) and Shirley Smith, both of Amherst ; a sister-in-law, Elsie Jones-Smith (Jasper), of Amherst; aunts, Annie Powell, Mary (Lloyd) Burress, Majorie Morse, Pauline Page, Lucille Campbell; one uncle, Johnnie Page; his special friends, Lovella Bennett, Theresa Canada, Gail Greene , Joyce "Pinky" Woods, Willie Woods, Robert Cabell, and Sherwood Jones and a host of Nieces, Nephews, great nieces and great nephews all of whom that were dear to him and a host of friends.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, February 23, 2013 at First Baptist Church, Coolwell with Rev. Charles Frye, officiating and Rev. Linda Drummond, as Eulogist.
