Frank E. Anderson of Madison Heights passed away Monday, May 16, 2016 at Virginia Baptist Hospital. He was born in Bedford County to the late Rev. John B. and Virginia Everett Anderson as their sixth child and of a total of thirteen siblings.
Frank was preceded in death by three brothers, John Randolph, Mack Gilbert and William Louis and one sister, Georgia Thomas.
He was a member of the United States Army and was employed in New Jersey as an Electrical Foreman for Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory for 35 years. He was currently employed by the City of Lynchburg in Maintenance Supervisor. Frank was an avid beekeeper and was a nature enthusiast and loved to hunt and fish.
He is survived by his son, Willard L. Anderson and his wife, Debra; grandson, Josiah A. Anderson; four brothers, Thomas (Ernestine) Anderson, Herbert Anderson-Otey, of Roanoke, Carl (Elaine) Anderson, of Big Island and Murrell (Gracie) Anderson, of Forest; four sisters, Virginia Jones, of Forest, Rev. Helen (James) Morris, of Lynchburg, Marion A. (Raymond) Banks, of Forest and Linda (James) Anderson-Swain, of Forest and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
