IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Frank Eugene
Anderson
April 20, 1948 – August 5, 2020
Proverbs 16:1 says, "The plans of the heart belong to man, but the answer of the tongue is from the Lord." Verse 3 adds "Commit your work to the Lord and your plans will be established." With Verse 9 continuing…"The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps."
Our father understood that in order to be a good leader, one must first, be a servant.
On August 5, 2020 God saw fit to take his servant and leader home. Born April 20, 1948 to the late Hezekiah and Dorothy Hallie Anderson (Cobbs) of Lynchburg, VA. He is preceded in death by his sister Helen Anderson, brothers Hezekiah "Zeke" Anderson, Joseph "Joe" Anderson, and his son, Frank Tucker Bayes.
He graduated from Dunbar High School in 1966 and worked tirelessly throughout his life until he retired in September 2009 as an Electrician from the Central Virginia Training Center after 30 plus years of service. During those trying and turbulent times, God saw fit to bless him with conviction and compassion to serve HIM.
From that Blessing came commitment and he was ordained as a Deacon at Court Street Baptist Church on August 1, 1999. After years of dedicated service at Court street, he joined Provident Transformation Church International and was installed as Deacon under the leadership of Senior Pastor James Coleman. He served mightily in helping to build the foundation as it exists today. They shared a bond like no other, each referring to each other as Great Men.
He was a committed, loving father, leaving behind his daughters Joanne Bayes, April Rena Champion, Shekita Lynette Champion and his sons, Matthew Isiah Anderson and Timothy Wayne Anderson, all of Lynchburg VA, with his sons residing in Dallas TX and Harrisburg NC, respectively. He loved his nieces, nephews and grandchildren with all his heart, and they will miss him dearly. In his last days he was surrounded by so much love from his caregivers and the Family thanks all of you from the bottom of our hearts and the depths of our souls.
He encouraged us all to pick up the word and guaranteed that we would find the answer. It is no doubt he is resting in peace.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., on Tuesday, August 11, 2020, at Davis-Turner Funeral Service with Dr. James Coleman, officiating. Condolences may be sent to www.Davis-Turner.com. Service of comfort rendered by Davis-Turner Funeral Service.
