Frances Jones Rose was called home on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at Lynchburg General Hospital. She was born on April 1, 1941 to the late Linwood and Betty Jones.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her late husband, James H. Rose, Sr., daughter, Mary Frances Rose and grandson, Donta Leftwich.
Frances confessed faith at an early age and was a longtime member of St. Mark Baptist Church in Amherst, VA.
She was employed by Howard Johnson in Madison Heights, VA for more than 25 years and a number of other odd jobs.
Frances leaves to cherish her memory five children; Linda Winfree (Willis), Gloria Smith (Gary), Angela Leftwich (Jackie), James H. Rose, Jr. (Kim), and Jeffrey Rose and special friend Tina Harris; 11 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and a host of sisters, brothers, and other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Friday, January 30, 2015 at St. Mark Baptist Church, Amherst with Rev. Terry, officiating. The interment will be in the Rose Family Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to www.Davis-Turner.com. Service of Comfort rendered by Davis-Turner Funeral Service.
