Floyd Evans, Sr. "Ballie" departed this life at his residence 195 Harris Rd, Madison Heights, VA. He was born February 9, 1933 in Amherst County, VA to the late Norvell and Beatrice Evans.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Smith Evans; one grandson, Ronald Hughes and one sister, Beatrice Willie Allen.
Floyd "Ballie" joined Scott Zion Baptist Church at an early age and he retired from griffin Pipe after thirty years of service. His grandchildren kept him busy, he enjoyed being with them.
Floyd was the father of one daughter, Eltwentia Haskins, of Lynchburg; three sons, Floyd Evans, Jr., Delaware Frank Evans, of Blacksburg, VA and Jerome Evans, of Lynchburg, VA. In addition to his children he leaves to cherish his memories twelve grandchildren, five great grandchildren; five sisters, Eleanora Hunter, of Lynchburg, Amy John, of New York, Shirley Megginson, of Concord, VA, Glory Williams and Lillie Egglestion, of Madison Heights,; three brothers, Lloyd (Gracie) Evans, Norvell (Ruby) Evans and William (Loretta) Evans, all of Madison Heights, VA; two aunts, Virginia Gray and Clara McDaniel both of Lynchburg; two special friends, William and April Cox; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, of Lynchburg and a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
