Obituary

A time to be Born… Ethel Eunice Glover Goins was born May 30, 1928, in Amherst County to Maude Glover and Robert Jenkins who preceded her in death.

A Time to Die…February 26, 2023, 12:37 PM, Ethel was called to eternal rest at her residence, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard, Sr.; four children, Bobby, Calvin, Leonard, Jr., and Nor Anne; Grandson, Timothy L. Goins; and Granddaughter, Tina Minifee.

A Time to Love… Those left to cherish her memory, are two sons, Danny (Jo); Ralph (Deborah) Goins; two daughters, Sandra Nappier (Linnell) and Cheryl Cabell; 19 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and 34 great-great-grandchildren.

A Time for Spiritual Growth… Accepting Jesus Christ as Her Lord and Savior at an early age. Ethel held firm to her faith at the First Baptist Church, Coolwell Amherst, VA. Where she worked on the following committees: Pastor's Aide Club, Family and Friends Day Committee, sang on the Volunteer Choir and was on the Food Committee.

A Time for Helping… Member of Pride of Lynchburg Temple #81, Daughter of Elks, Eastern Star, Star Lighters Social Club.

A Time to Remember… With love and gratitude, we pay tribute to her memory. Ethel was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She loved her family and friends tremendously and will be dearly missed. She is no longer suffering and is now resting in the hands of our Lord, where she will be comforted by His kindness, Spirit, and grace. Special thanks to our sister-daughter-in-law, Deborah, for helping us with Mama, having her in your home, and helping with doctors' appointments, you were a blessing to us when we needed help, thanks to her devoted friend, Mrs. Evelyn Hutcherson for calling and lifting her spirits, and a devoted Caregiver, Mrs. Connie Vaughan.

A Time to Leave a Legacy… Ethel's family was a focal point of her life. Her memory will be forever cherished by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

A homegoing celebration will be held at 12:00 PM Friday, March 03, 2023, at First Baptist Church, Coolwell. Mrs. Goins will lie in state one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Service of comfort rendered by Davis-Turner Funeral Service.
