Mrs. Estelle H. Moore, beloved sister, aunt, and friend, entered into eternal rest on December 15, 2022, at Guggenheimer Health and Rehab Center, 1902 Grace Street, Lynchburg, VA.

Essie as she was affectionately known, joined Holcomb Rock Baptist Church where she accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior. She worked as a certified caregiver through the Department of Social Services until she retired. Not only was she a caregiver to strangers but she was an awesome caregiver to many a niece and nephew. Mrs. Moore also received recognition and honors as one of the Living Legends of the Daniels Hill community.

Essie was born on June 04, 1932, in Pamplin, VA to the late Mr. Garfield and Mrs. Anna H. Harvey. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. James E. Moore, and her siblings, John Harvey (Elizabeth), Jessie M. Turner (Harry), Elizabeth Cunningham (Wardell), Henry Harvey, and Jerry L. Harvey.

She is survived by 3 sisters, Miss Louise Harvey, and Miss Alice M. Harvey both of Lynchburg, VA, and Miss Lilly M. Harvey of Harrisonburg, VA; 1 brother, Jack L. Harvey of Lynchburg, VA; a sister-in-law, Geneva Harvey of W.VA; and a host of nephews, nieces, and devoted friends.

Death leaves a heartache no one can heal but also leaves a memory no one can steal. Rest in Peace Aunt Essie, you will forever remain in our hearts.
