Mr. Ernest Willie Marshall (a.k.a. Uncle Boo) of 1720 Floyd St, Lynchburg, VA departed this life, on August 09, 2022, at his residence. He was born February 28, 1928, in New York and was the son of the late Lewis and Winifred Marshall.

He joined Holcomb Rock Baptist Church at an early age and faithfully worshipped until his failing health.

He graduated from Dunbar High School and completed an Auto Mechanics trade while attending.

He served Honorably in the United States Army during the Korean War as a Corporal of his regiment.

He was preceded in death by a son and daughter, Juan and Angela Marshall.

He is survived by three sons, Percy of California, Alphonso, and Brian, of Lynchburg, VA; and three grandchildren, Kamesha of New York, Christopher, and Atisha of Philadelphia. He is also survived by three Stepchildren, William Glover, Deidre Glover, and Lee Glover all of VA. He also leaves behind a host of great-grandchildren.

A host of brothers and sisters also survives him, James Marshall of Maryland, Charlie and Doris Marshall of Lynchburg, Felipa Scott of Lynchburg, Curtis and Christine Braxton of Forest, and Clarence and Margaret Brown of Goode. He also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews that nicknamed him "Uncle Boo".

He also leaves behind a very devoted, Lifesaving, and promise-keeping friend, Geraldine Smith, and her husband, Michael

A homegoing celebration will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, August 13, 2022, at Holcomb Rock Baptist Church.
