Obituary
On June 12, 2010, Enos Franklin quietly departed this life after a long illness, at the Carriage Hill Nursing Home, Bedford, VA.
Enos was born on October 29, 1921 to the late Wyatt Franklin and Rosa Freeman Franklin in Campbell County, Virginia. He was preceded in death by hi loving wife of 59 years, Eleanor Johns Franklin. He was also preceded in death by four brothers, Herman, Willie, Eddie and Verna Franklin and three sisters, Louise Franklin Pride, Madeline and Essie Franklin.
Enos leaves to cherish his memory, a special nephew and his wife, Layman and Virginia Franklin, Sr., of Lynchburg; a special great niece, Lydia Faye Scot and her husband, Cabell of Lynchburg; a sister-in-law, Dr. Delores Yuille Johns of Roanoke; five nieces, Adell Morgan, Mary Brown, of Hampton, Loretta Beverly and her husband Charlie, of Rustburg, Elsie Franklin, Josephine Goins and her husband Danny, all of Lynchburg and a host of cousins, great nieces, great nephews and friends.
A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, June 19, 2010 at Flat Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Edward Austin, officiating and Rev. James Braxton, as Eulogist. The interment will be in the Freeman Family Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the home of Layman Franklin 126 Franklin Dr. Lynchburg. Condolences may be sent to www.Davis-Turner.com.
