Obituary
Mr. Elmer M. Hutcherson of 2751 Galts Mill Rd., Madison Heights, departed this life September 24, 2009 at Lynchburg General Hospital.
He was in Amherst County on July 18, 1923 to the late Jesse L. Hutcherson and Fannie Ferguson Hutcherson. He was preceded in death by his sisters and brothers.
Elmer is survived by his devoted wife, Evelyn and his two (2) loving children; Octavia Hughes (Charles) and Debra Scott (Langston, Sr.) and (2) grandchildren, Christopher Hughes (Tiara and Elisha), and Courtney Hughes-Harris (Johnathan) and a great-grandson, Christian and his mother Regina; three (3) devoted friends, Josie Wright, Arnold Jordan and Macon Sales and a host of other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday Sept. 27, 2009 at First Baptist Church Coolwell with Rev. Charles Frye, officiating and Rev. Earnest Scott as Eulogist. The interment will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be at the residence from 12 noon until 8:00 PM each day and there will be no repast at the church on Sunday.
