Eleanor Johnson, of Lynchburg passed away Thursday, February 14, 2008, at Lynchburg General Hospital. She was born January 13, 1913 to the late, Thomas and Florence H. Brown, Sr. Eleanor was preceded in death by her husband, William R. Johnson, Sr.; one son, Robert Wallace Johnson; two brothers, Thomas Brown, Jr. and Daniel Brown; two sisters, Mildred Hubbard and Maggie Randolph.
Those left to cherish her memories are four children, Dorothy (Robert) Brown, William R. (Clara) Johnson, Jr., Lillian M. Williams and Dr. Mack H. (Janice) Johnson, Sr.; one sister Ruby Thornhill; many lovely step brothers and sisters and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held 12 noon Monday, February 18, 2008 at Bethany Baptist Church, with Rev. Greg Dowell officiating. The interment will be in the church cemetery.
