Edward S. Horsley, 83, of Gladstone passed away Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at Lynchburg General Hospital. Edward was born October 8, 1925 to the late Jimmie Horsley and Candice Christian Horsley. He was preceded in death by one son, James E. Horsley; one daughter, Ruby M. Russell; one brother, Raymond Logan and two sisters, Sadie Mason and Emma Jane Ray. Those left to cherish his memories are, devoted wife, Henrietta Russell Horsley, of Gladstone; two sons, Larry J. (Angie) Horsley and Darnell D. (Barbara) Horsley all of Madison Heights; two daughters, Elnora Horsley and Elvalena Horsley both of Lynchburg; 7 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, October 18, 2008 at Davis-Turner Funeral Service with Rev. Edward Jones officiating. Interment will be in the Galilee Baptist Church Cemetery, Gladstone.
