Obituary
Edith Ferguson, 91, of Appomattox passed away Sunday, August 1, 2010 at her
residence. She was born June 21, 1919 in Appomattox County to the late Eugene
and Cora Lee Jones. She was preceded in death by her husband, William David
Ferguson, Jr.; son, William David Ferguson, III and her granddaughter, Tyra
Ferguson.
Those left to cherish her memory are her two sons, Wayland S. Ferguson (Terri)
of Concord and Robert Eugene Moorman (Angie); sister, Emma Edmonds (Perry) all
of Richmond, VA; three grandchildren, Erica Ferguson, of Lynchburg, Jenifer
Patterson Martz (Jonathan) of Japan and Kasha Ferguson-Heath (Christopher) of
Atlanta, GA; daughter-in-law, Pearl Ferguson, of Los Angeles, CA and a host of
other family and friends.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, August 5, 2010 at Canaan
Baptist Church in Appomattox, VA with Rev. Dr. C. L. Elliott as eulogist. The
interment will be in the Ferguson Family Cemetery. The family will receive
friends Wednesday from 7-8 pm at Davis-Turner Funeral Service. Condolences may
